4th Of July 2020 – The year you want to avoid an OWI.

2020 has been a difficult year for all of us. We know, we all need a reason to relax and celebrate this year. What better reason than the birth of our Country? The day American gained independence!! So let us remind you, we hope you always keep our phone number with you, and we also hope you never need it!

4th of July 2020 OWI - Cafferty Law Office

Spending the 4th of July in a holding cell charged with Operating While Intoxicated, during a pandemic is a situation nobody wants.

Imagine after you’ve spent the first half of the year trying to social distance, you or a loved one ended up in a packed holding cell with all your new best friends? This is a scenario nobody wants.

Celebrations in Wisconsin almost always include the consumption of alcohol.

If you plan on traveling to spend time with family and friends, going to a barbeque or visiting a local bar, you should be aware that the OWI task force will be out in full swing looking for impaired drivers.

So this year make it a point to celebrate the July 4th holiday safely. Remember to pass your keys to a designated driver if you decide to celebrate with drinks no matter how few. A better options is to leave your vehicle home and take Uber to your destination.

Our team is always available by phone, text, and/or email. Remember, the criminal justice system is not stopping due to COVID-19. Should you need legal consultation over the holiday, Cafferty Law is available.
